Sabina Pappu | Founder & Executive Director
Sabina Pappu is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a deep passion for the health and well-being of Christian leaders. Her journey began at the age of 16 when she developed a burden for supporting leaders navigating the challenges of ministry. In 2020, as reports surfaced of Christian leaders stepping away from ministry, Sabina felt compelled to delve deeper into leadership formation and human development.
Before her time at Dallas Seminary, Sabina earned a B.A. in Counseling from Moody Bible Institute, where she cultivated a profound love for understanding the human story. She firmly believes that God, as the Creator of humanity, speaks into our struggles, yet many are hindered from seeking Him by misconceptions about His character. This conviction led to the vision of Se.cure, an initiative rooted in her belief that the next generation of Christian leaders must be secure in God’s character, allowing Jesus to reveal all the parts of their lives that need healing. She believes that a leader who is rooted in their relationship with Jesus and receiving healing in their story is then freed to lead from it to tell the world about Emmanuel, God with us.
Sabina emphasizes that our personal stories are our most remarkable testimonies and a battleground where the enemy seeks to sow doubt and despair. She sees community as vital—particularly for Christian leaders—to combat isolation and provide support. The mission of Se.cure is to offer a safe space where leaders can ask hard questions, find healing, and lead from a place of authenticity and strength.
With a focus on emerging Indian leaders, Sabina is driven by the unique needs of her community and her desire to help these leaders feel seen, loved, and known. Through Se.cure, she hopes to inspire leaders who turn to God first, see “cure” in their stories, and live out their callings with boldness and freedom.

Se.cure has always been what I wish I had when I was younger. As someone who grew largely away from the Indian christian community, I struggled to find mentorship where someone understood my background and family dynamics. When I first connected with Se.cure everything just made sense. Se.cure provides the home that so many of us grew up wishing we could go to when family dynamics were hard or church tensions were high. I hope that everyone gets to experience what I’ve been able to experience through Se.cure!

A book or thought leader that has shaped my life: The Insanity of God by Nik Ripken is hands down one of my top books. Ripken is an incredible story teller and the entire book is so captivating and also gives an incredible perspective on the process of getting into missions and the spiritual hardships of being in an unreached place.

Community Engagement & Growth ChairSe.cure is the kind of community I needed—and still need. It’s a space where leaders can be honest about their stories, their struggles, and their pain. A safe place to come out of hiding, to be known, and to walk through the process of Christ redeeming every part of our story. I want to see kingdom-minded leaders break free from shame and hiding and step into the fullness of who God created them to be.
Occupation: People & Culture Leader

A book or a thought leader that has shaped my life: My thinking has been shaped by many—John Piper, David Platt, Francis Chan, Leonard Ravenhill, and C.S. Lewis have each shaped how I see God, Scripture, holiness, prayer, and the life of faith.
But right now, the person most shaping my thinking and approach to life is Mister Rogers. He was gentle, but he had incredible inner strength. He had the emotional tenacity of a lion—like a triathlete on the inside. It took deep strength to master his impulses, to respond with kindness, to keep showing up, to keep believing the good in people, and not to grow tired of doing good. He lived with restraint, consistency, and conviction. He didn’t just talk about love—he embodied it, even when it cost him. That kind of strength is rare, and I want it.

Resource Development ChairAs someone who has served in pastoral ministry with her husband for over two decades, I am committed to collaborating and leading with compassion and cultural humility. As a trauma-informed clinician who has experienced her own healing in secure, safe spaces, I have a passion for helping transform fractured stories into integrated, redeemed relationships with God, others, and themselves. As an Indian American daughter of immigrants, I am delighted to come alongside Se.cure to provide healing and equip the emerging Indian leader.
